Upon arrival in Marrakech, transfer to the picturesque mountain village of Imlil, nestled in the heart of the High Atlas Mountains (70km, ~1.5 hours by car). Spend the evening at a cozy gîte, enjoying dinner and panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.
Start your trek from Imlil, passing through the traditional Berber villages of Armed and Achayen. Follow the Ghighaya Valley, ascending gradually to reach the sacred shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, an important spiritual site. Continue your journey to the Toubkal Refuge, where you’ll spend the night. (~6 hours of hiking)
Rise early for the highlight of the trek: the ascent to the summit of Mount Toubkal, the tallest peak in North Africa. Marvel at the awe-inspiring panoramic views of the Atlas range and surrounding landscapes. Descend back to the refuge for a well-deserved rest. (~6 hours of hiking)
Begin your descent through the scenic Ghighaya Valley, retracing your steps past Sidi Chamharouch and the villages of Armed and Achayen. Return to Imlil, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to Marrakech, concluding your memorable journey. (~4-5 hours of hiking)
