Upon your arrival in Agadir, you will be greeted and transferred to the charming village of Khmiss Ait Moussa, about an hour’s drive away. Here, you’ll be welcomed into a local home where you’ll spend the night. Enjoy the evening settling in, savoring a delicious traditional dinner, and experiencing the hospitality of the local community.
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll set off on a scenic 5-hour hike, gradually ascending through rolling landscapes. The trail leads to the lush village of Targua NTouchka, famous for its banana and avocado gardens. This initial hike offers the perfect opportunity to ease into the rhythm of the journey. Your day concludes with an overnight stay in a local home, where you’ll enjoy a warm meal and peaceful surroundings.
Today’s hike, approximately 6 hours long, takes you further south along the trail. You’ll start with a steady climb that rewards you with stunning views of the surrounding valleys. After reaching the village of Imzi, the trail descends into a picturesque gorge before leading you up toward Tagdichte nTalaght. From there, a short 3-kilometer track takes you to the serene village of Anzgaren. Here, you’ll stay with a local family and have the chance to connect with the community.
The day begins with a descent into the lower part of Anzgaren, revealing breathtaking views of ancient houses built into the rocks. You’ll continue along a beautifully maintained path, eventually arriving at the village of Ighil Iblaghne. Crossing the Takoucht River, the trail climbs steadily, passing through the perched village of Aguerd Ouzro and ascending to a mountain pass. A final descent brings you to Ait Iftn, nestled at the base of Jbel Lkest. You’ll spend the night in a cozy local auberge.
Set off on a thrilling trek to the 2,375-meter top of Jbel Lkest. Enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of the Anti-Atlas mountains from the summit. The route descends to the mountain settlement of Anergui after taking in the breathtaking views. You may sleep under the stars and experience the true wilderness as the day comes to a close with a bivouac.
Your final day of hiking begins with a descent along a stunning path overlooking the Ammelne Valley. As you progress, you’ll pass through the charming villages of Anamer and Asguen before crossing a granite pass with its iconic pink rocks. The adventure concludes in Tafraout, a vibrant town surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of the Anti-Atlas.
