Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech - Transfer to Imlil and Trek to Tachdirte (2300m)

Upon your arrival at Marrakech, you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to Imlil. From here, start your trek by ascending towards Tachdirte (2300m), passing through the scenic Tamaterte Pass at 2200m. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to take in the spectacular landscape and meet the friendly Berber villagers. The first day is moderate, allowing you to gradually acclimatize to the altitude. Overnight camping or staying in a gîte.

Day 2: Tachdirte - Azib Likemt (3500m)

After an early breakfast, set off towards Azib Likemt, with a steady ascent to Likemt Pass (3500m). From this high point, enjoy a panoramic view of the Haouz Plain and Jebel Angour. Descend through a lush area with shepherd huts and enjoy a night in a peaceful camp at 2300m, surrounded by stunning mountain vistas. Expect about 6 hours of trekking.

Day 3: Azib Likemt - Amsousart (1700m)

Today, you’ll follow the Aouray Canyons, which wind through dramatic mountain landscapes. Ascend to a pass at 2600m for a perfect viewpoint to see the famous Toubkal Summit and the beautiful Tifnoute Valley. Afterward, descend to the vibrant Amsousart village (1700m), where you’ll spend the night in a local campsite. This day involves around 7 hours of walking, offering incredible views of the surrounding highlands.

Day 4: Amsousart - Lac Ifni (2200m)

On this day, the trek is relatively easy, and you’ll pass through several interesting villages, including Adouze and Imhilen, before beginning a gentle climb towards Lac Ifni. The lake is situated at 2200m and is a serene, picturesque place to camp for the night. The trek duration is around 4 hours, allowing for plenty of time to explore the lake and take in the tranquil surroundings.

Day 5: Lac Ifni - Toubkal Refuge (3207m)

Rise early for an exciting ascent towards the Toubkal Pass at 3700m, offering sweeping views of the Ouanoukrim Massif and the Tadate Plateau. From here, descend to the Toubkal Refuge (3207m), where you will rest for the night. This is a physically demanding day with about 6 hours of walking, so be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding experience.

Day 6: Toubkal Summit (4167m) - Return to Toubkal Refuge

Today, you’ll tackle the ultimate challenge: summiting Mount Toubkal at 4167m, the highest peak in North Africa. Enjoy spectacular views over the surrounding mountain range and the valley below. After spending some time at the summit, descend back to the Toubkal Refuge for a well-deserved rest. Expect about 6 hours of trekking, with the ascent and descent requiring stamina and determination.

Day 7: Toubkal Refuge - Imlil - Marrakech

After breakfast, begin your descent through the Ghighaya Valley. Pass by the Marabout Sidi Chamharouch, a sacred site for the local Berber community, before continuing through villages such as Armed and Achiin. Once you reach Imlil, your vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Marrakech, where you’ll spend the night in your hotel. The descent will take around 6 hours, giving you ample time to reflect on your adventure.

Day 8: Departure from Marrakech

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
